Hi,
I wuold like to model a hierarchy like this: Corporation --> Company --> Salesman.
The Corporation is not a real level inside the hierarchy.
I've no field mapping to the Corporation level, because there is only one Corporation which equates to the sum of the Companies.
The Corporation level is the "TopMost" or "All values" level you can model in other softwares (ie Analysis Services) which basically mean "show me all the values" or, which is the same, "dont apply this dimension".
Is there a way to obtain the same effect in a Qlikview hierarchical group?
I believe I could add a calculated field inside the group, but AFAIK, Qlikview would automatically drill to the next level because it would find a single distinct value ("MyCorporation" or any thing you like)
The only way I can figure out is toggle the group, ie create 2 graphics one with the group an one without, and toggle between them when a button is pressed, or create e single graphic and add/remove the group by code (also when a button is pressed).
Boths the above should work, but drilling-up in the hierachy to TopLevel would be easier for the end-user.
Kind regards,
Corrado
try out the hirarchy function in the script. It will work just fine.
