Tracking alerts issued by QV

I would like to track that an alert has been issued by QV.  Is there an alert trigger available that I can use?  Is the alert mechanism available through the API?

On a related topic, is there a way to display a list of <All, Active, Inactive> alerts within a sheet in a QV document?

(Is this the correct forum group to post this question?)

Thanks,

Kevin

Alerts that fired (condition was true) create an xml file in folder

C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikViewBatch\AlertRecords

You can list existing Alert definitions and create new Alerts using the API. They are probably exposed in a -prj directory as well.

R‌ob,

Thank you.  This is an excellent answer.  Where did you gain that knowledge?

Experience and observation. I've spent some time debugging Alerts.
