Two columns - oneheading

Hi all,

I have a chart (shown below) where I would like to merge two columns, or rather give them one heading so that it is clear that those two appear together. As you can see below every other column has a value and a percentage. I would like the heading (YTD, Q4 2014, etc.) tobe given for both of those columns. How is this done.

I "grouped" them together by using colour instead. This seemed preferable in the end.

Hi,

From some of these comments the easist thing for me would actually be to just change the column background colours, but whenever I change them it doesn't seem to actually change. Will look more into this first.
