Unable to select multiple objects in design view - QlikView

I am unable to select multiple objects via ctrl-click, making alignment more tedious.  I'm in design view, the objects have allow size/move enabled.  What am I missing?

I was experiencing that today.

i think you can to do it by surrounding the objects by holding the right mouse key

Shift+click works for me. Dragging to select works (using the left mouse button).

I like to have the design grid on, so I can better see the selections.

Hi, just to add that you can enable the grid commented by mw using CTRL+G
