Unable to select unassociated data as new selection

Unable to make any selection on unassociated data as new selection ; It is completely blocking out and coming back to the selection I made with associated when I select unassociated data. Until I make clear, it is not working with other data.
It is blocking natural functionality of Qlikview!! I could not able to figure out where it might go wrong!!

I wonder do you have any lock applied on filters?

Ashfaq,

I could able to figure it because I have Year filter as only one selected value and all other filters are hierarchies depending on year; that is why it is not working to make any other selections.

If anything falling out of this year, it will not allow you to select.
