Upgrade Developer from 8.5 to 9 sr3.....

I performed an upgrade of the 8.5 developer version to 9.0 sr3. (I did not un-install 8.5 first). All of my BI models were then reloaded over night, and all heck broke lose the next morning.

Now the models only properly calculate if the users are on version 9. For all of my user who are on version 7.52 and 8x, the data does not calculate correctly. It seems like the data does not link correclty for users on the old versions.

I have even un-installed the Qlikview software and reinstalled the 8.5 version, but when I try and reload the same models, I receive a "General Script Error" upon reload completion, and it bails out.

Are there known issues with running models through an upgraded version, and having lower software level users still able to use the models?

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting my models back to a working order?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

~ Kristopher

Mansyno,

My solution is a bit wierd, as I do not know how or why it works, other that it just does. Because of that I debated wether I should post my solution. But you are correct, it is a bummer to run into things such as this and not see a soltuion posted.

I will post what I did as a reply to the original post.

Thanks,

Kristopher

I found a solution to my problem, but I do not know how or why what I did worked, it just did.

Most of my company's models were developed on version 6 and 7 of Qlikview. They all contain at least one loosen statement. I commented out these loosen statements and reran a limited reload through the debug mechanism. The limited reload would finish completely (with the customary loop error). I then saved the model and closed it. I then reopened the model and uncommented the loosen statements and performed a full reload. Everything worked and my models functioned as they did before. All of this was done after I downgraded the Qlikview server and developer back to version 8.5(sr6).
