Uploading an app on the server

Hi

I need to upload an app on the qlikview server. In the management console when I go to the Root folder, I am not able to browse to my local machine folder. Could you pls guide me through that?

Also, is there a way to directly upload the doc through access point or it has to be done through management console only?

Thanks!

Hi Make sure you logged in with Qlikview administrator account.

Make sure you have proper rights on the root folder.

Also, is there a way to directly upload the doc through access point or it has to be done through management console only?

NO, You  have to go through management console only.

One workaround could be using batch fines to place application in the root folder.

hope it helps

Hi,

I suggest you to login with Qlikview service Account.

Which in turn will have admin privileges. If not add service account to administrator Group.

You can ask your admin guys to help you out here.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

The local machine folder you mentioned is on the server?

If yes, try restarting the qv management service.

Hi,

Thanks for all your answers.

I could get the app on the server. But I am unable to view data therein.

I have buttons that reload data which is then displayed through various objects, but I am unable to reload the data on the server I guess. I think reload trigger doesn't work on an access point.

Is there any other way I could view this data? .. as this is a feature end users need to use, they need to refresh data and view it for themselves.

PS : Since I am new to qlikview, I am struggling with the basics. Thanks for all your help!! Very much appreciated.

Hi,

Can you close this thread by selecting appropriate answers.

And create new one for other topic.

For your information macros do not work on access point. you need to look at EDX.
