Upperbound and lower bound limit charts

Just a few weeks with Qlikview and still need lots of help from the experts in this forum.

I have millions of records which consist of time stamp and values (data volume). I'd like to build  a chart showing two lines; upper bound limits and lower bound limit based on this historical records.  It will be somewhat a statistical type of chart that will be used as a reference, so the output will be a chart with two lines; one showing lower bound limit and another line showing upper bound limit, with certain probability or confidence factor (e.g. 95%). These two reference lines are based on historical data collected.

Once the reference chart above is done I will then need to load new records and compare them (overlay the new data in the same chart) and  display these new records and show in the same charts if these new records are below or above the statistical upper and lower limits lines.

Any help would be appreciated.

Fikri,

Here is an example Control Chart that is Personal Edition enabled:

Qlikview Cookbook: Control Chart http://qlikviewcookbook.com/recipes/download-info/control-chart/

The limits are indeed calculated as you surmised: average +/- 2*stdev as Reference Lines on the Presentation tab.

Seems like you want to create some kind of control chart?

Maybe have a look at

QlikView Control (SPC) Chart

Thank you!  This is helpful

I am currently using personal edition so unable to open the qvw example posted by Erica. I wonder if someone can show the scripts or the expressions how the chart was created. I assume the upper and lower limit is simply uses average +/- 2*stdev (for 95% confidence), but if there are additional detail information for that chart that would be helpful.
