Hi community,

can you confirm me than we can't use a qlikview license server for Qlikview personnal Edition if QlikView server isn't installed?

Have we to install QlikView server before lease a license for QlikView Desktop?

Hi Michael, You are correct. We can only inherit the QlikView Server license to the Desktop by selecting Open in Server option in the QlikView Personal edition. It requires active QlikView Server in place. This server license is valid for a period of 30 days (app). However, we can renew the Desktop license by connecting back to the active server.
