User Access to Apps

Hi All,

Let I have 2 Apps deployed. Now I have 10 users. Now I need to give access to users, let 4 users would access only App1 and 6 users would access only App2.

How this can be achived from QMC perspective? Please elaborate.

The service account is the account the QlikView services run under, you can see this account logging on the server and executing "services.msc". Go to any QlikView service and see the account under the column "Log On As". This is the account you need to add to the section access table.

The WHERE 1=1 was meant for loads from QVD in old versions of QlikView to prevent optimized loads, but this is not required anymore.

The INLINE load should work just fine as loading from any other source.

Thanks for the fast response but still don´t have clue how to get it.

If I understood well

• Log in in Server here ( this is the only view I have of my QMC)

• Take this Service Account (I´ve found this picture  on internet ,is not an actual view of my console)

The QMC is not required, this must be done as in your second screenshot, directly from the Windows Services console.

Remember that you need the two parts, DIRECTORY\USERNAME. In the example above, we don't know which is the name of the computer, missing the "DIRECTORY" part required. You can see this information if you run CMD and then HOSTNAME. The result is what it would go before the "\".

Anyway, if this is difficult for you, ask IT to provide you with those details, the NTNAME account for the QlikView services.

Manys thanks for your help, due to I don´t have install the server on my pc (it´s placed in the PC of the IT boys I don´t have this information avaible) I will ask them.
