Is it possible to let user select the dimensions as well as expressions (or just one of them)?

How is this done

Im still using v10 but this feature is required at work so am about to upgrade to version 11

Is this just an additional option of the chart pivot table and straight table. So a version 10 chart could be converted to a version 11 report including selection.
