HI All

I have a  dashboard in the Qlikview server , I have to create a new user name and password to access the application on Access Point , How do i create a user name and password in QLikview Management Console ?

Can someone suggest me

Hi,

Are you looking for authorization (Section Access) or authentication (AD Security)? These two are separate concepts and you can use both to make the security layer more robust.

As per my knowledge there are two types of security.

1. LDAP security

2.Application security.

Please check the below thread to implement the security at the application level.

I guess you are looking as same as in SAP Businessobjects CMC. But it is not possible in Qlikview.

HI Deepak ,

Actaully I want to create a Username and password for a perticular user to access the dashboard on the Access point . The moment a user aceess the weblink for Access point it has to ask him the login .

I dont have Active directory ,

How do i achieve this ?

I dont need the section access

WHat u r talking about the section Access which we need to do at the script level ,

But i want to create a user name and password in the Qlikview Managment console so that the new user can access the dashboard appliocation on the ACCESS POINT .

Apparently, It is not possible to create the username and password at QMC.

Its already done  by one of the qliview developer , the requirment of manager is to add one more user with password , I am badly stuck here ,
