Using the Link Representation in QlikView 9

I have created a straight table in QlikView 9 SR2 and I am using the feature to include a hyperlinked field in my chart. Each time I click on the link, I get asked the question "Approve application for launch?". How can I turn this off or make it default to Yes so I don't have to answer the question each time I click a link?

Not sure I can answer directly as I am on 8.50.6261, but the usual method is to navigate to the menu option 'User Preferences - Security' and uncheck 'Confirm Launch From Macro'. I have a small macro invoked on a field selection, which launches a url; when I test it on the desktop with this setting unchecked, it launches the browser without any prompt. However when running on the server via the plugin client, it always prompts "Approve application for launch". Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I have the same issue, did you try using the CTRL + Shift + M to set the permission when the document is open in the plugin. If this keeps happening, users may need rights to make registry changes to set this.

I am not sure if this is a supported method, but I have found that by adding the following regkey you can suppress the message in the IE Plugin.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\QlikTech\QlikOcx\Settings 7]
"MacroLaunchConfirmation"="0"

This works for me - thanks for posting this.

I've been struggling with the qvw file Security settings on a bunch of applications for months without ever getting satisfactory results.

'User Preferences - Security' is the right place. Although i think it's about another checkbox.
And, this property is of the user environment, not of the QV document. In IE you can get to the user preferences by pressing CTRL+ALT+U.

Hi all,

I have the same problem. I tried but I cannot get to the user preferences by pressing CTRL+ALT+U.

I can see "User Preferences - Security" in Qlikview Developer. However in IE plug-in, I open "User Preferences" from the menu, but I cannot see "Security".

Do you know any other solution?

Regards,

Montse.
