Way to make Clear All more efficient?

Hi, One of my qlikview dashboards is particularly big - maybe a hundred tables, a couple thousand fields, and a handful of alternate states.

When we hit the Clear All button, the server seems to think about it long enough for the browser to decide to time out. (Though the page reloads itself okay a moment later.)

When we just hit the little eraser buttons in the Current Selections box, we can clear the few selections and have even the heftiest tables update in no more than a few seconds.

I think the Clear All function is blindly sweeping all fields in all states rather than simply targeting fields with selections in it.  Any good ideas for optimizing this?

Thanks!

(It's not super urgent now that I've told colleagues to lean toward the little eraser icons, but I would like if if there were no buttons causing timeouts on my dashboards.   I think I can help it a little by removing a few test alternate states too, but there's not much pruning I can do in the rest of the data structure.)

You could try it with a bookmark which has none or maybe only a few selections which would act like the clearing of selections.

Thank you.  Nice and simple and 3 seconds to setup. Tested every which way and it works as expected.

(Requests I get are so crazy random, I never had use for bookmarks before this. )
