Web Sockets: Does QV allow receiving data streams via web sockets

You should probably read about QVX.

There are some examples that get installed with the QlikView SDK, there will be in the folder "C:\Program Files\QlikView\QlikView SDK\samples\QVX File Format".

Please find attached the QVX documentation that gets installed with the SDK.
