What is a macro and what is it used for?

Macros are bits of VBA Code that can be used to do lots of things that "straight" Qlikview cannot. There's a list of commands in the API Guide that comes with Qlikview, I think.

try to avoid using macros , Macros wont work in web view as well as Qlikview doesn't recommend to use Macros.

can't open this as my license expired last friday.... is there a way to open documents besides your own in personal edition?
