What are slowley changing dimension

Any one explain sbout the slowly changinf dimension and any one explain with an example. I reallly appreciate and thanks.

Just enter 'slowly changing' into the search bar and hit enter, then follow one of the links, e.g.:

Thanks Swuehl can you explain this in any example of in inline tables. Or i have example where i have fact table with dimension table and the dimension table is connected with sub dimension table. I want to know will it be the slowely changing dimension situation where i have to refer the sub dimension table to find the data.
