Hi All,

What is LDAP security in qlikview. How it is differing from section access. Is it possible to give LDAP security for qlik dashboards.

LDAP is like a common repository for all the authentication...

EG: if you have a company USERID and Password and you have 100 application in your companies then your USERID and Pass should work for all the apps . You cannot have USERID and pass for all the app ..this is where LDAP helps you to login for all the app with the common USERID and PASSWORD.

LDAP with section access YES, use NTNAME in the section access it will fetch the USERID from the network

Normally we will be having CAL user license option in QMC right. so this is same as LDAP? or does LDAP have some other configuration?
