Date and Num are used to change the display format of a date or number. Date# and Num# are used to convert a character string into a date or number. You can find your examples in the help file.

• Date , Num change the display format of a date or number.

        such as Num(Month(Today()))

        Output is 8

• Date# and Num# are used to convert a character string into a date or number.

        Num#('DD-MM-YYYY','YYYYMMDD')

        Output is 20150819
