What is the difference between QVW and QVD ?
Hi,
QVW :- This stands for Qlikview application that contains charts, objects, reports and data model. QVW is used for the presentation of the dashboard and represent the data in the charts and reports. UI is provided to present the data here in the QVW we can read data from the QVD and where as QVD is used for the data storing.
QVD:- This means Qlikview data file means a data file created in the Qlikview environment and used in the qlikview only for storing raw source data in to the QVD for later used in the Data model. When reading data from the QVD is faster in compare to other sources.

thanks bro
pls make it as a appropriate answer and close the thread
Important to note that the QVW can be loaded as a data source file as well. We manage and manipulate our raw data into multiple QVDs that can be leveraged by multiple apps. But in any given app, we may load the needed QVDs and additional app specific resource files into a staging QVW. We then perform a binary load of the staging qvw into a new qvw for report/dashboard creation. It is sometimes easier to give users/developers access to one clean data source file.
