What is the difference between field tag and field comment?

What is the difference between these two and which one can provide information for fields?

Tag are listed in the field tags, comments are descriptions.

So which one do you use to give the user information?

I prefer the comment, but frankly, i don't see it beeing used a lot. We tend to add help buttons on the screens and charts with more extended info for the end user.

Tags are syetem defined, Comments are user defined.
