When I enter formulas, when I enter ">", QV prompts me with a choice of ">>", ">=", and "<>". Now, my understanding of the last two is "greater than or equal to", and "not equal to" respectively. However, I thought that ">>" meant simply "greater than", and that QV used it to differentiate between the set operators "<" and ">". However, after tearing my hair out over formulas that didn't work, I inadvertently left out the second ">" in a "Date1 > Date2" comparison, and it worked fine, whereas the previous version with "Date1 >> Date2" didn't work. So what is this ">>" operator? There is absolutely no information about it in the reference manual.
Look into the bit operators in the HELP
>> is a bit shift operator
Thanks.. if you search for ">>" in the "Help", it returns no results, but searching for the intuitively obvious "bit operator" did give me the help I needed!
