What is the function Collaberation in QlikView?.

Hi Forum,

Can any body let me know what is the functionalty of Collaberation in QlikView. With Proper example?.

1. Can I knew the step how to implement in QV?.

2. How can I see the effect of it. ETC?

collaboration is technique to share session to users and give demo to them.

when ever you made selection on your screen it will reflect to users screen .

only you need to do below

sytem-> qlikview servers-> documents -> session collboration-> check it

you can  share your session to users by sending link to them

for link

on more thing needs to is

QlikView enterprise management console> Document> UserDocument>  select the document> availability> Check ”Sessioncollaboration”.

it is for ajax client

one mor thing it will be available if you open in google crome .

you can see share session option when open app @ access point

and if you click then it will show you a link . you could send this link to users.

and do a demo.

Are is it mendatry that for collobartion Functionalty we should have Google Crome Only?.

Hi,

Not such you can even have Fire fox.

Session Collaboration only works with ajax client.

You can eve use IE without plug-gin installed.

FYI, I have Window OS 7, IE, QEMC(Server License).

For One Document named as sales_poc.QVW I had done following setting in Server.

QlikView enterprise management console> Document> UserDocument>  select the document> availability> Check ”Sessioncollaboration”.

Now, What should I do to check the functionalty of Collaberation?.

Hi,

There is one more place you need to activate the same.

Go to

QEMC-->System-->Setup-->Qlikview Server -->Document tab --> Select allow session collaboration. Save and close.

Once done open it via chrome you will see session share option.
