What's the best way to resolve this synthetic key problem

Hi all,

Very straight forward question. I have two tables with three common fields. What is the best way to resolve the synthetic key that would be formed

1. I could rename the fields in one of the tables or

2. I could create a composite key of the fields in both tables so that they associate on this instead.

Which is the best way and why?
