File formats for manually exporting objects from an open document...

In desktop:

  • QlikView Export File (.qvo)
  • Comma Delimited (.csv, .txt)
  • Semicolon Delimited (.skv, .txt)
  • Tab Delimited (.tab, .txt)
  • Hypertext (.html, .htm)
  • XML (.xml)
  • Excel (.xls)
  • QlikView Data File (.qvd)

In AP (using Desktop or Plug-in):

  • Same as above

In AP (AJAX):

  • Comma Delimited / Excel (.csv)

Yes, it is. There are many possibilities, depending on your QV setup:

  • Use the Report function in QV and QVS. A document containing a Report template can layout and print QlikView information on any device you have installed on your PC. Install a PDF-printer driver and you ready to produce PDF files.
  • QlikView offers a PDF Distribution Module that lets you distribute results in PDF-format as part of a Task. No user intervention needed.
  • NPrinting is a capable server add-on that lets you do the above and much more. See QlikMarket. Cheaper than the PDF Distribution Module, more powerful and doesn't need a publisher.

Best,

Peter

Hi,

There is still the possibility to build a report in qlikview desktop (even without publisher license).

This report can be print or save in pdf format if you have a pdf printer installed.

Also worth considering where you are exporting to.

NPrinting enables you to not only send files to a folder. It can also automatically send files to Google Drive or as an email attachment.

Have a look at http://www.quickintelligence.co.uk/nprinting/

You can have a free 45 day trial of the full enterprise addition.

Neil

Hello

it looks like your case is calling for QV Report.

Full pixel-perfect reporting environment (if you are familiar with Crystal reports, you would like this a lot).

It allows for massive email scheduled distribution in all the common formats (pdf included)

No publisher and NO EXCEL needed to work.

It also allows for users to explore their reports using a common browser, as it works with a web client.

It is a BI Network product and BI Network is a QV Technology Partner (soon to be published on QlikMarket).

Find more info here, or please get in touch with me privately.

Regards

Simone.
