Also i have observed that the second option increases the size of qvw application . is it fine ???

I have used second option in my project and found slight lag while reloading the data

What about the performance of your dashboard . I have also used the second option and found it improving the performance of dashboard but the file size increased by way too much

File size was a concern for me too.. it increased drastically.. However performance was slightly improved
