Which tool was used to develop QlikView?

I´d say it is C++ as sometimes the tool explodes and the error is a Visual C++ runtime error.

We use Microsoft Visual Studio as development tool. The QlikView Desktop and the QlikView Server service are written in Microsoft C++. There is no .NET in these components. The supporting server services however - QlikView Management service, QlikView Distribution service, etc. - are all written in C#,
