Why are Dates Dropping out on my Slider/Calendar Object

This is a persistent problem that we can't figure out here. I selected a Slider/Calendar object from the menu to create a slider timeline. In the General Options I chose Input Style:Slider, Data/Field: Fiscal Year (from my data set). This gave me the timeline alright, but the tic marks and labels are invisible for some of the years (see attached example left). They're there but just not visible.

As a test, I then created a simple list box and chose the same data (example right). All the dates display properly. Any idea why the labels are not visible on the slider??

Can you attach the sample .qvw here.

Try checking 'Continuous/Numeric' and then set static step to 1.  See image
