I believe the issue is likely to be a compatibility issue with your browser version and SR version of QlikView. I recommend you upgrade to the latest version (SR6) and see if this resolves the issue.

Ok , manged to update to SR6. This has now stopped the error. But no map is showing?
Have you deployed the svg map fiel to the SVG extensions folder. It will be under
C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions\Objects\svgMap
Map is now appearing thanks. Now I think i need to check the list of Names to be used for the Region ID.
I am using this download from qlikmart.
