I have a environment with 3 servers test prd and publisher installed odbc and oledb drivers both in test and prod, for oracle database connectivity everything works fine when i run tasks locally but when I came to run same tasks through QMC it throwed errors so I installed OLEDB and ODBC DRIVERS now I am able to run it successfully through QMC.
my question is why do I need odbc and oledb drivers installed in publisher as we already have it on servers
The drivers are only used in the reload process. Therefore they are required on the machine where the reload runs. They are not necessary on the QVS servers.
