Why string filed add trim does not work ?

Hi All

I have a table , when i select CX8095 i am able to display the description.

But when i select the model CX9000 , it unable to display  description ?

Enclosed my QV Doc. which explan clearly my situation.

Just now Tres , have help me add trim on the field name , it work fine for number field which is not number format .

I am not sure for string, how to make it 100% string ?

Thank you very much. any idea why description field can not put at expression ? why only CX9000 have problem ?

Hi Paul,

All information is in the singlee row, so cannot be put as an expression. Unless you were calculationg/deriving something. This had multiple descriptions and we were giving the expression as a column name.
