Will conditional colour coding work in Ajax browser

I have a nested conditional if statement to set the background colour of column values in the expression using RGB values. Will this colour coding work fine on the Ajax browser and is it ok to use nested if statement in the background colour expression - i.e.  will the nested if affect the performance. Do you recommend an alternative to the nested if or is it just fine to use the expression as it is.
