I need a clarification on whether we are unable to provide automatic text wrap facility in qlikview if using an object like Pivot table. I read some articles and its clear the feature is not available for table box object. But is it the case for pivot tables as well?
The issue I have is a comment field displayed on the table (pivot) and some comments are quite long. My requirement is to have a text wrap feature where in the event of a long comment, the specific cell is expanded while others remain at the standard size.
So far I have had no luck with this? Any possible workaround?
You can set the number of lines to be used by all rows in the Presentation tab for Straight and Pivot tables - Wrap Cell Text.
You cannot set this so only rows that need more lines will expand and other remain as 1 line high though, the setting will apply to all rows in the chart.
Yeah that's what I realized as well. Guess I should either decide on a specific multi line setting or expect the users to hover over the cell to display the full comment.
Object->Properties->Presentation->Wrap Cell Text(you can give the cell height in form of width of a single line ).But,this setting will get applied to all the cells present in that object.
