Concerning the QlikView developer 11 or 12, when do you know when you are ready for it?

There is of course the skill assement test: Qlik Skills Assessment | Qlik

Is that a good indicator?

Hi Mikael,

I'm to training for this Certification and by now I'm questioning if I'm ready or not despite my effort here in Community, studying 2 times the "QlikView 11 for Developers" book; doing the "QlikView Learning Data Visualization",  "QlikView for Developers Cookbook" and "QlikView Tutorial" books, taking the all the assessments: Business Analysts, Data Architects and System administrator. Even doing all the practice question and even answer almost all the QlikView Quizz Questions in here:

I want to be a certified QV developer. In this community there are a real genius of Qlikview and most of them there aren`t certified.

Well, as I understand it you cannot just read you through it. You need practical experience, but lets see what the certified people will say.

Hi Mikael, I think this is a very subjective question.

I've been working almost two years with Qlikview, reading books and being active in the community but so far I don't feel that I'm ready for the certification. Based on what my colleagues told me about it I suppose it depends on how much you really go in depth in your developments and of your own ability and background.

...you can provide correct answers to almost any realistic (meaning it has a QlikView solution) question posed in the Community under "App. Development & Usage" (category), "Security" & "Scripting".

There is no easy answer to this. A sudden moment, you start feeling confident in providing solutions in QlikView and discussing them in the Community. This is usually a result of a few years experience in intensely working with all aspects of QV Desktop. That's the moment you will take your chance.

I got that feeling by doing an inordinate amount of experiments and hitting my head against the wall until it looked a nice virtual black & blue Didn't learn much from books or articles, but the Community helped me a lot.

First thing is the certification will test not only your Qlikview skill set, how you can understand the user requirements and how your QV probelm skills. Assessment is starting point in the certification. If you get the good score on the assessment and you can take certification.

In certification, you need positive attitude towards the probelm solving skills.
