access control depends on device

Hello.

If somebody knows the solution or ideas, please help me.

A project I'm working for is planning to access to QV from pc in office and from a mobile (such as iPad) outside.

However, due to security matter, we would like to control report/data shown depends on device.

Example;

We have QVWs A, B, C.

from pc in office, we'd like to show all of them.

however, from iPad, only A should be displayed from the same users.

Does anybody have any ideas to satisfy this requirement?

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Seiko

Seems possible by un-cheking Full Browser and Small Device Version in Server-Availability-Access Point-Access Method.

Security wise with your proposal there would nothing to prevent a PC from outside your LAN accessing all qvw's.

What I have done is set up an IIS web Server in he DMZ and only permit the url's to the permitted qvw's to it.

Hello Bill,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Unfortunately what we are using is QVWS, not IIS and it's not easy for us to build a web server in the DMZ...

But it's good information!

Thank you very much!
