what is the fuction of alert . How to use it. please give proper steps for it

You can ask QlikView to generate an alert depending on :

- Expression: When to trigger this alert (or not)

- When evaluate the alert (on opening during reload, etc..).

All informations are in the user guide.

In QlikView, you can setup alerts in Object -> Alerts.
