Hi,
I have a straight table with 46 dimensions and 22 expressions and around 1000 records.(it is clients requirement to have these many fields on the report). This data is coming from a single table. The dimensions and expressions are direct fields.(no calculated dimensions or complex exprs.).
The problem is that it sometimes gives 'allocated memory exeeeded' error on selections.
Is using so many fields on the report is really a problem?
Machine' confg this appl. is on - processor -1.73 GHZ and RAM- 2GB
Thanks,
Amar.
This won't help, but I've seen rare, intermittent "allocated memory exceeded" errors in charts using FAR fewer dimensions, expressions and rows. I can't reliably duplicate the problem, though, and don't know what's going on. There's no reason I can think of that 1000 records should be even close to any sort of memory limit, though I don't claim to be an expert in how the operating system and QlikView allocate and use memory. I'm currently on version 8.5 in case that's relevant.
