background color change for straight table labels

I want to change the background color for the labels for expressions in straight table.I tried custom formatting also to change the background colors but it is reflecting only to the values of the expressions but not to the labels. How can I achieve this.Please hep me

Enable "Design Grid" then right click in lable field and select "custom format cell".

this gives you the option to change lable colour!
