bar chart between two periods

Hi all. How can I create a bar graph that shows values between two periods who has two different years? For example, I want the values from november  to march of the next year, from all  my years... nov 2010 to march 2011, nov 2011 to march 2012...

And the period that I choose must be changeable.

Split out your date field into Month and Year dimensions in your dataset, see example attached
