Hello got a barchart
what is to be accomplished is in the attached image (1)
when I add the dimension qc_module I get image (2)
but when I add the dimension qc_theme I get image (3)
is there a way to tweak graph in image (3) to make it look like image(2)
Please advise
Hi Ali,
would you mind being a bit more verbose about your requirement?
What I can deduct from your pics is just that in image_3 it seems you have three dimensions, one being built into the stacking, while in image_2 there seem to be only two, with one being in the stacking.
image 1 is the required output
however in QlikView it seems we cannot accomplish this design
the Dimensions are QC_Module, QC_Theme, and Coverage_Status
in Image 2 I created a bar chart and added QC_Module and Coverage_status in the dimensions
Image 2 seems fine but when I add the third dimension (QC_Theme) in the following order (QC_Theme, QC_Module, Coverage_Status) I get what is shown in image 3
why bars become so thin?
what shall I do to make image 3 somehow readable?
Hi Ali,
it's not a bug, it's a feature ,-)
The bars become so thin simply because they have to - there is no more space available. With your first two dimensions QC_Theme and QC_Module, there is a lot of "data points" to be displayed - you seem to have Null_values in the dimensions, too,
there seem to be blank spaces in your second dimension QC_Module. Have you checked the "suppress Null_values" checkbox on the "dimension" tab?
I'm afraid the best hint I can give you here is the easiest one: To make the chart better legible, you have to limit the amount of data you display - add a multi-selection-box for instance where the user can choose which parts he/ she wants to see.
