Once connected, save the connection string in a text file and then call the text file by using Include Statement

If you can connect with database by OLE DB,  You should use it instead  ODBC.

OLE DB is the succesor of ODBC, provides more functionality and  not require any configuration at the system as create a DNS entry.

Hi,

Best practice is that create any database connection and store that connection string in a text file and include this text file in the QVW application and use this string for database connection. Because some how if some changes in the database connection string you have to change this only on the text file and then use this.

Thanks & Regards
