calculations !!!!

Hi

     I have a category in that i have 2 types like cat1 and cat2

     each category have there respondID

    Now i want to calculate Index for each category i have a weights also

category	Satisfaction	Loy
Cat1	0.234	0.567
cat2	0345	0.789

suppose respond id is 100  is under Cat1 now i want to calculate index value

how we can do that pls help me i f u need any info let me know
