Hello,
currently we are starting up our qlikview reporting.
and we have 5 users that will be using it, now currently we are working on a few documents, and for each documunt i have a "workversion".
at this moment when the users go via the web, they see ten documents when only 1 is ready to be used, and this causes some wrong interpretations.
is there a way that i can block the documents i make so they are not visible for the other users when they want to open documents
via "open in server" or via the web acces point?
also the other users will only be viewing and selecting in the data, but not creating or changing reports.
can i block this so things get not changed by accident?
thanx!
chris
You should be able to set both properties in your server.
You need to set the authorization right on user documents, if users have no authorization to open a document, they won't even see it in AP. For example, use named user authorization and put in only your user name.
Users won't be able to change the document itself via the Web client, but you can even disable server side objects, so they are not allowed to create new sheets / objects for themselves nor share them.
