change the sheet ID

Hello-

I'm sure this is a very simple solution...I have an existing QV doc with multiple sheets.  I created a new sheet and the sheet ID populated with the default SH01.  I would like to change this to something else.  I am in my QV doc and go to sheet properties, where the sheet ID is but when I rename it, it will not keep the new ID I put in.  Do I need to change this somewhere else or is there a setting preventing me from changing it?

Thank you!

You are changing it in the correct place. This behavior will happen when you try to change the name to a name that already exists. I suspect you already have a sheet with that id. Each sheetid must be unique.

You are correct!  There was another sheet being used for testing that had the sheet ID I was trying to change it to.  Thank you!
