Hello,
I want to create a bar chart which is primarily very easy and already working. There is only costs based on material numbers. Now i want to colour each bar different, based on the amount behind each material number. The colour change should happen in example 10 steps from red to green, where red is the max. amount and green is the min. amount and all other colours between. How can i create this that this will work dynamic, because daily the data is changing and maybe the min or max gets different. Therefore the colour steps must be different.
Thanks, Armin
Try to use this ColorMix Wizard and you will see.
I will try to make a legend for you, but it will be separate straight table and two textboxes with min max values
In chart properties->expressions-> select expression-> back ground color.
as per conditions->bar color will be displayed
Hello,
choose whatever colors u want in the in the colors section of the properties in the bar chart and sort by y-value either ascending or descending. Even though the values change and max value changes, the maximum values and minimum values of any dimension will always have the same color .
Hey,
One way is avaliable, if you are having a single expression in your bar chart. You can enable multicolor and sort the x axis based on value of your fact like (sort dimension in x axis based on sum(sales).
Hope this helps,

Chinna
Hello,
I am still not clear and maybe for better understanding.
I have a bar chart which has on the y-axis the amount of parts by material number and i would like to color the bars based on the costs. As example i made this in another program and i only define the variable and the color left and right and the amount of steps, eg. green to red, 10 steps variable = costs. and the bars gets colored according the legend her. the values 34 and 290 are not fixed, they will change daily but the colors and steps should be still same.
Hope my explaination is better now. Could you send me screenshots how to adjust?
Thanks, Armin
Hi,
You can always use ColorMix Wizard.
Go to your expression, Plus sign\Background Color\Click ... to see Write expression dialogue and the File\ColorMix Wizard

Great thanks, and how should the expression in my case looks like to get a dynamic colour calculation?
Thanks
and how can i get the legend like in my screenshot into the dashboard?
Try to use this ColorMix Wizard and you will see.
I will try to make a legend for you, but it will be separate straight table and two textboxes with min max values
PFA an example of legend
For the textboxes use a Max Min value of Your expression
