compare date this year with date last year

hi,

I'm trying to to compare two dates. for example 2012-08-01 with the thursday last year it was 2012-08-03. But in the pivottable the two dates are not shown next to each other how can I solve this problem?

regards,

MT

i'm sure you can preper a small example with one chart and random data (using inline script)

i just want to know where you want to compare those two values - so i need to know how does your chart look like

ok what I want now is that my chart looks like that

31      Mi      01.08.2012     03.08.2011     profit2012     profit2011

is that possible??

one way of thinking was to use date insteat of a dimension as an expression

try to use only day and week  as a dimension and use set analysis in teh expression (plus add calendar table)
