Hi all
I have loaded two tables into a qlik model
one has data in a day format which is wrapped up into a monthly result by renaming the date as monthname(date). the other has the montly forecast for the data and i need to compare the two on one chart. when i try and just load the data it is putting the forecast monthly data against every individual day data and therefore increasing my forecast by 30 times (or however many days are in the month). Any ideas on how to do this would be fab
thanks
as an example, i have attached a document with a really brief view of what my data may look like (not real data)
table a is my daily incoming data i have., table 2 is the monthly forecast I want to compare against.
i would suggest a Key Id to your Tbale1, I'd assume it is a list of products sold by which you would want to compare it with Forecast sales of the month.
A master calendar will be nice to add Periods(in this case Month) to your corresponding transactions.
hmm, I guess what i need is a way that I can get Qlik to see the monthly count of items sold rather than just the daily numbers ... then i can use these monthly totals to do the comparison I just cant figure out how to get these monthly totals to sit somewhere in the background so they can be selected as a chart etc option
you can have a combo Bar/Line to present your data,
on the Bar, you can have Monthly Sales of Products,
Line: Monthly forecast
