conditionally Hidden charts and sheet

hi everybody,

i have a question and need your help upon this!!

A qlikview document in which i have 8 sheets (30 objects) which are conditionally hidden. My question is that will hidden sheets and charts  use resources? as some of the charts doing long calculation and users have to wait.

all objects will keep doing calculation for conditions you have given them so your 30 +8 conditions are simple then it should not take much time

Hi,

Hidden chart & object does not capture any memory till you unhide it.

For clearification go to Document Property->Sheet->select Sheet->below you find Objects->check ->

Show Mode -> Cal Time -> Memory

ok thanks .... we are using  condition "1=0" to hide the sheets under "general tab" ...  and charts under hidden sheet have no condition

...... unless the Chart uses a Calculated Dimension, then it will always be re-evaluated whether hidden or not.  [A good reason to avoid  Calculated Dimensions]

hidden object won't took any resources/memory,once it's active hen only it take memory as per the calculation.

Well of course they will take resources but it is the best think to have less number of active charts at a time and others as minimised .
