Hello,

In order to establish a connection from QlikView to a data sources e.g. SQL, MySQL or Oracle etc.., you need first to install related ODBC or OLE DB drivers on the QlikView machine (i.e. on which QlikView Desktop version was installed).  The drivers can be found from the Database Vendor.

After installing drivers:

1. Open QV start page
2. Click on Edit Script icon
3. Go to Data tab
4. Under Database, for example select OLE DB
5. Connect
6. Now Select the Database Server (for e.g. SQL server)
7. Now enter <Server>Name and Login Credentials and press Ok to connect to Database Server.

Below link provide additional information.
