controls elements to manage data view

Hello,

I created two drill down groups for the Time Dimension and

added both drill-down groups to a line chart.

1. Year < Month < Day, condition: SubField(GetFieldSelections(CalenderView),',') = 'Month'

2. Year < Week < WeekDay, condition: SubField(GetFieldSelections(CalenderView),',') = 'Week'

Furthermore I created a filter element, so  that the user can select which dimension he/she wants to see.

CalenderView:
LOAD * INLINE [
CalenderView
Month
Week
]
;

It's necessary to have a default value for the CalenderView-Filter-Element. Before deployment on Access Point I selected "Month" and activated "select only one value", but after deployment the selection is gone and the user has no dimension visible.

This is not intuitive, because now the user can select both values (Month / Week) at the same time.

Do you have any ideas for a better solution?

Thanks.

I remember having problems with the "select only one value" getting turned off on deployment as well. The approach I took was to make the selection and "select only one value" be an action that triggers when the document is opened. I think you have to do the "select only one value" with a macro, unfortunately. Something like this:

sub SetDefaults
    set field = ActiveDocument.Fields("CalendarView")
    field.Select "Month"
    set fieldProperties = field.GetProperties
    fieldProperties.OneAndOnlyOne = true
    field.SetProperties fieldProperties
end sub
